I have been a hairstylist, makeup artist, and esthetician for many years in Overland Park, Kansas. Starting my journey with AVEDA training I have long list of continued courses in hair, skin, and makeup. Some of my favorite experiences was traveling to New York for Bumble and Bumble classes. Also, amazing training and memories include time living in Destin Florida where I had the opportunity to receive incredible training with makeup and handtied extensions! In addition to color, makeup and hand tied extensions is smoothing treatments! As a client you will always receive the extra attention you deserve every appointment every time. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Yes, I have a set price for all my services. The only time a price would be different is if hair is extra thick or long and also for corrective color.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I take extra time to talk about lifestyle, their wishes, examine the hair type, and discuss options. I like to make sure my clients understand maintenance and home care.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have such a long list of continued education in color, cutting, makeup, and styling I would not be able to list it all! I do want to mention a few of my favorite trainings, and most rewarding was attending Bumble and Bumble University in New York, mineral makeup training with Glo skin and Osmosis!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I knew when I was in high school that even after college I was going to work in the beauty industry. I always was drawn to working with makeup and hair.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Ladies of all ages, Caucasian textures, Egyptian texture, Asian textures, Hispanic textures, and Indian textures primarily.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Not specifically one project, but all weddings I do on location! I love going to the wedding party! I love the whole environment and experience listening to the buzz and excitement on my clients wedding day!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A complimentary consultation would be an excellent way to meet and discuss your wants and needs. A very good idea to have a picture to clear up any misunderstanding of what you are wanting. Someone relaxed and easy to talk to is also important.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What time to start services? What is your travel charge? Specific requests for hair style for attendants? What time does the bride need everyone finished? (Timeline) Provide inspiration pics or ask for advice on finished look.
