Introduction

I am all about client experience. Not only just getting a great makeup application with quality products but allowing them to feel comfortable, confident and like they are "queen for a day" while I do it! I love the smiling faces after the job is complete. Everyone is different so the level of "glam" requested by everyone is different. I love the client that doesn't wear a lot of makeup that wants a natural look and being able to subtly enhance features while still allowing them to look like themselves!! I absolutely love that!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Getting to know the client, giving as much information that I can before and during application process so that they are aware of what I'm doing. Getting looks from them in advance as well as a picture so I can know how to translate the look they want on their face and eye shape.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I do a lot of self education and online classes to keep up with the latest makeup trends to develop my craft even more and take it to the next level. I have also taken several classes with celebrity makeup artist that are currently working in the industry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have ALWAYS loved makeup. I tell everyone my earliest vivid memory was being 5 or 6 years old getting ready to take pictures with my mom and being upset with her because she made me take off my lip gloss as it had a red tint to it so when I put it on a lil heavy it looked like lipstick to me.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Special occasions such as date nights, anniversaries, prom, weddings, engagement photos, bridal photos, photo shoots. Beauty/fashion/editorial makeup is my specialty.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Application time. As this process can take 45 minutes or longer for each person. I do advise my clientele to think about time (especially for weddings or groups of makeup) so that we can together create a schedule for their event to ensure that everyone is done in a timely manner.
