Introduction

I specialize in glamour and natural looking makeup. The kind that never goes out of style. I use really great products and love to tailor each appointment to the client. I will personally go out of my way to meet the clients needs and get them the products they wish to use. My main products are: bareminerals, urban decay, benefit, too faced, and tarte. It's my job as a freelance makeup artist to make clients feel beautiful and confident as well as education clients on the science and application of makeup. Being a makeup artist is my second job, I work full time in child care and now part time as a dance teacher. I studied makeup professionally and enjoy showing my talented I have prided myself on receiving an education in. I will try to be flexible with scheduling but weekends are ideal for openings.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Located on my website is a pricing sheet with the base charge and add ons. Through this app I have been going off my pricing sheet and also giving every client a discounted rate; because I understand most clients are looking for a reasonable price. By giving clients a great price I hope to build more work because I enjoy doing makeup more than making the profit.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to have great communication with my clients before doing any work. I like to know what the client likes and expects and most importantly I ask if they have any allergies or sensitivities.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I received my certificate in glamour makeup in 2012 from Empire Beauty School in New York City. I worked for bareminerals as a beauty ambassador for year where I also received further training and in store certifications. Unfortunately I had to leave my position so I could continue to peruse my dance career.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Growing up I knew I wanted to peruse dance but I knew if I got injured I needed work I enjoyed just as much. Dancing and competing often is where I found my love for makeup. While going to school to receive my bachelors in dance and psychology I also got certified in freelance. With my certification I also placed a job with bareminerals as a beauty ambassador.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Working at the bareminerals boutique has given me the opportunity to work will all different kinds of clients. I have worked with very young girls to very mature as well as provide lessons and information about all the bareminerals products. At our boutiques costumer service is number one priority for us as a company, which is what set us apart from different makeup stores.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My life and work consist of many projects. I do a lot of makeup for friends and family and work as quickly and efficiently as I can. Being a dancer and makeup artist has taught me everything about hard work and I don't settle for anything less than perfect.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I always advise clients to be conscious. Making sure the artist is very knowledgeable about the skin and products. A client should ask as many question to be knowledgeable and the artist should be able to answer all of them or at least point you in the right direction so it becomes a learning experience for the client.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Clients should always ask what products the artist feels comfortable using. There are so many different products and all of them are different on all skin tones and types. It's important the artist is thinking about your skin concerns as well as making you look your best.
