For local weddings (within 10-15 miles of 12010) I charge $60. per person. We can determine if there are other issues and additional charges at the pre-bridal. I know a lot of places charge $200. or more and I know Thumbtack has encouraged me to charge more. The price does not include hair (I don’t do hair)

Generally we meet for a prebridal and or talk on the phone and I ask a few questions about her gown and hairstyle for that day. Once we've done a trial, we both know how long it takes to achieve her look for the wedding and she can adjust her times with the hairstylist so she knows how long to expect her appointment to be that day.

This is a profession that requires constant training to stay updated on the newest looks. I constantly keep up on the latest looks and they vary from month to month like fashion!

I made over someone at work during a break, and then did a friend's daughter's prom makeup then a wedding then another and another ... suddenly, my name was out there. I took the training I needed (which was a LOT) and branched out headfirst as a professional. I also recently completed my certification as a Professional Wedding a Planner which I hope to offer soon as well. After my first few makeup jobs for prom, professional image makeovers and several weddings - I was hooked! Working with bridal parties and special events is a passion and I wished my Thumbtack profile had the room for all the photos over the years!

All kinds! Women, young girls, children as well as men. I do about 20-24 weddings a year and about 20-30 girls during prom season. I also do senior photos makeup and offer training to individuals on makeup application.

I did a wedding in Saratoga recently with 8 bridal attendants and we had a great time and they all looked beautiful! They were thrilled they didn't have to pay almost $200. pp like some Albany/Saratoga makeup artists charge.

I offer complimentary sessions so you can meet with me and try your look before you hire me. I suggest you meet with a makeup professional for a trial look beforehand. Another suggestion, I wish more girls didn't expect to look exactly like the professional models on Pinterest. Aim for a better version of yourself. Smokey eyes look great on almost everyone, let's try a look that suits you!

Professional makeup is not only achieved in salons - many of us have received the training we need elsewhere! Don't just count on your hairdresser to help you on that special day - look for a makeup professional as well! We've got the goods!
