Introduction

I’ve been a freelance makeup artist since late 2016. I was never allowed to wear makeup when I was growing up, so once I graduated high school, I started experimenting with eyeshadow and eyeliner. I watched hundreds of YouTube makeup tutorials and I always felt so inspired. I would go out and buy whatever I could afford at the time and beg my mom to let me practice on her. I’m constantly researching products for different skin types, lighting etc. Practicing on my family and friends made me learn about different skin types. I believe that if the skin looks glowy and healthy, everything else falls into place. I really enjoy connecting with my clients and helping them feel even more beautiful. It’s such an amazing feeling when you give the client a mirror to see themselves with the final look and seeing their eyes light up. Connecting with my clients, making them happy, excited, confident and fierce is always the goal. I listen to their requests and make sure we’re on the same page at all times. My pricing is very reasonable. Also, please do not try & negotiate a discount UNLESS one is offered first.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

1. Date & time of appointment 2. What look they're going for 3. Pricing breakdown, including TRAVEL (only for 2 people or more. I DO NOT TRAVEL FOR 1 PERSON) 4. 50% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT REQUIRED FOR ALL BOOKINGS

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I worked at Ricky's in New York City as the makeup artist. Working in a fast-paced environment got me as comfortable as I am now.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I first started off by doing smaller weddings that didn't call for big groups. I also worked on timing for application. Once I was comfortable enough, I started to take on larger sized groups when I was offered the opportunity.

Adolescents girls to older women/men

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I did a big wedding in 2017. There was the bride, 4 bridesmaids and the maid of honor. Everyone came out stunning!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Please understand that these are our own products that we bought with out hard earned money. We charge for quality & time.
