Allow me to introduce myself! I have over 20yrs experience in make-up artistry. I specialize in weddings, proms, pageants, photography, television and commercial work. My training and education in make-up artistry stems from major prestige cosmetic companies such as Clinique, Christian Dior and Lancome. I am a licensed Cosmetologist. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is based reasonably on the market area. I also consider travel time and gas as an expense. I also based my pricing on the fact that I use very high-end cosmetic products such as Lancome, Stila, Urban Decay, Huda Beauty and Clinique.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My first initial contact is here through thumbtack or my website and to put the customer more at ease with who I am I offer my background and experience that I have in cosmetics. I always offer a meeting over coffee and/or a trial. Getting the customer to feel comfortable with me is always my first goal and I always enjoy building relationships with my clients.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have had over 20 years experience in cosmetic sales. All of my education has been paid for through high-end Prestige branding of cosmetics in the retail industry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was working in the young men's department of a retail store and the Cosmetic sales manager recruited me over to the Cosmetic Department. She had always complimented me on how I did my makeup and thought I would do quite well on others.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have performed makeovers on both male and female alike. I have extensive background in all Races. I have also worked extensively in photography for model portfolio building workshops as well as commercial television.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I worked on a calendar project for the Wounded Warrior Project as a fundraiser. I also artistically directed every months photo as well as did the hair and makeup.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would most definitely advise a client to schedule a trial run before any type of major event such as a wedding. That way you both are on the same page and that your expectations are going to be at the fullest extent for the day of your most important day of your life.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I think the number-one question that should be asked first and foremost is how much experience does one have pertaining to the type of service that you would like.
