Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We have affordable promotions including currently a lifetime discount on services packages on our Love and Happiness LLC website.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
As our services are virtual. Clients book a free zoom consultation, each then privately online complete our "new client intake" where we can answer all questions, and share how we can help. Then when services are acquired we typically hold a couples session, then a one on one to mine out all of the surface pain points, frustrations and discover clearer objectives. Then develop a treatment plan to present in the next session, once the couple agrees with the plan it is then implemented with exercises, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Certified with Presidential Status in AACC. Attending annual continual education courses on all aspects of couples and family therapy.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
on 9/11/89 my 1st wife was tragically killed in a car accident which was the day before my birthday (9/12), my 2 daughters were 5 & 3 yrs old. While widowed for 12 yrs, I met so many couples who were in love but unhappy. I kept thinking "If you knew how precious love is, you wouldn't spend it unhappy" so it gave me a passion to get highly trained and help couples create their happily ever "after" (after the hurt, I help couples be happy)

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have helped celebrities, Pastors, CEO's, professionals from all walks of life to couples that are just starting out. I had one couple on their way to divorce court call me and was able to help them restore their union and prevent divorce. Most couples come to me when things are really bad, it's normal for me to hear in a consult "if this doesn't work, we are getting a divorce". I have a really great percentage of helping those is dire, dire straits.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am still working on a project that is a startup that is demanding I learn far more about technical platforms than I thought I would ever have to...

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Trust your instincts, make sure the therapist is "actually" neutral (I have had so many couples tell me how the process failed them because the therapist was not neutral). I always tell couples in my consults, "if you hire me for marriage/couples counseling, I am on ONE SIDE that is your Marriage/Relationship". and both of those demand a commitment to forgive, and work towards creating the happiness you both deserve)

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. What are your credentials and certifications? 2. How many years have you been practicing couples therapy? 3. What specific training do you have in couples therapy? 4. Do you have experience working with couples facing issues similar to ours (e.g., infidelity, communication breakdown, intimacy issues) if so how successful have you been with the tools you provide? 5. How long is each session, and how frequently should we expect to meet? 6. What is your cancellation policy? 7. Do you offer in-person, online, or hybrid sessions? 8. Have you been successful if one of us is more invested in therapy than the other?
