Introduction

We believe in the covenant of marriage and family values. Regardless to what your concerns are, you are safe and not judged, in our faith based practice. Our differentiator: My husband and I counsel together, and this unique approach adds value and balance, to our solution-based counseling. In addition, we also counsel gender specific to meet the needs of our clients. We schedule provide some evening and weekend appointments to accommodate our clients. After three decades of marriage, raising children, and living life, we understand no one is perfect! Utilizing our education, compassion, and empathy, along with our life experiences, we are relatable. With our faith based component, the bible is our final authority, when it comes to life’s difficult challenges, especially in marriage and relationships. We do believe the worst of challenges can be overcome, if one partner is willing to step out for support. We also provide “bilingual services” with our counselors on staff. Preserving the family is our passion!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our prices are flexible. Discounts available for current military, veterans, and first responders. We are private pay and accept all credit cards, debit cards, cash app, pay pal, zelle, and cash.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When new clients come in they will fill out paperwork, that gives us some history of their concerns. They then come into our counseling office and we spend time uncovering the concerns; in essence they get to know us and we get to know them. We listen to the concerns from one or both individuals. Since our therapy is solution-based by the end of the first session we will offer at least one tool, that they can put into practice right away, moving them into a healthier relationship.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
In addition to a 46 year friendship and 39 years being happy marriage, we are Board Certified Licensed Belief Therapists, Christian Counselors, and Ordained Ministers. I am a Psychology major. My husband has a Undergraduate degree in marketing with a minor in Psychology. He is currently pursuing a Graduate degree in Pastoral Family and Marriage Counseling.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I (we) have always had the desire to see lives changed by bringing out the best in others. With a heart of compassion and having a desire to make a difference in our circle of influence, becoming Christian Counselors just seem to be our calling. After celebrating over three decades of marriage, and seeing so many marriages fail, we wanted to show others, that they too can have a healthy marriage. Preserving the family is is our passion!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have supported those who have a desire to marry (premarital counseling) couples who are married (marriage counseling). Couples who have dealt with extreme infidelity as well as physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Teens who are rebellious, teens who have considered suicide and self mutilation, bullying and peer pressure. Children who struggle with the separation and divorce of parents. Blending families, identity issues, and general family counseling.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We supported a young lady (13 years old) who's parents found us online. This beautiful young lady was hopeless and spoke of suicide. As a result of our weekly time together and the help of God, she re-considered her negative thoughts and developed new agreements that led to positive behaviors. She realized her life had purpose and was worth living. She went on to complete high school and began her life as a young adult, preparing for college. Now at age 21 she is serving her country in The United States Army and has just recently returned from a tour in Afghanistan! She still considers us her counselors and will check in when there is a concern.
