Introduction

I am a therapist and transformational life coach based in Norwalk, Connecticut. I see clients both in person and online. I support individuals and couples to break free from ingrained patterns that have been keeping them feeling stuck and help them to experience more joy and fulfillment in their lives. I treat clients holistically by addressing mental, emotional, somatic (physical), spiritual, and relational health throughout therapeutic treatment. I work with individuals and couples who are: 1.) Navigating life transitions or challenging times 2.) Feeling held back by core wounds and stuck patterns they're seeking to break free from 3.) Seeking a therapy experience that is both healing and practical Therapy with me is an experience that provides you with tangible practices that can facilitate deep change both inside and outside the therapy room. I am skilled at helping individuals and couples who are hungry to do "the work" to level up and break free from the patterns that have been keeping them stuck. You will come away with practical, simple, and effective tools that you can implement to help you make deep and sustainable changes over time.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Cost is $225 per session for both therapy and life coaching. For therapy-seekers: I do not take insurance but I can give you a Superbill, which is a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for potential partial reimbursement. We can discuss this more on our initial 25-minute consult.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1.) We will have a free 25-minute consult where we can get to know each other and see if we are a good fit for each other. 2.) If we decide we are a good fit, we will spend the first 1-2 sessions setting clear goals for our work together. 3.) The remaining sessions will be focused on helping you accomplish the goals we've set together.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
— Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy from Fairfield University — Certified Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner — Breathwork Facilitator — Somatic Internal Family Systems Training — Dean's Award for Academic Excellence from Fairfield University

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began working with individuals in 2013 as a life coach for people struggling with anxiety. I supported them to use meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness practices to heal their relationship with themselves and with the anxiety they experienced. Over the last 12 years, I have immersed myself in spiritual, somatic, and relationship-based training via my master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy to now offer a truly holistic service that addresses clients' mental, emotional, psychological, and relational health.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with adults of all ages (my current clientele ranges from age 19 - 75). The individuals and couples I work with are ambitious, ready to do the work, and are very motivated to level up and break free from the patterns that have been keeping them stuck. This allows us to do really great work together and co-create changes in a very reasonable period of time. Most of my clients begin to see shifts and changes within the first month of working together.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently worked with a life coaching client who was navigating relationship challenges rooted in her family of origin roles of being "the over-responsible daughter" and "the emotional caretaker" in her family system. Here is her testimonial after three months of working together: "Heather is truly an angel in the guise of a life coach. The past few months have been among the hardest of my life, filled with personal challenges and deep-rooted patterns that were overwhelming. With Heather's compassionate guidance, I have not only faced these difficulties but have moved through them with a newfound clarity and healing. Her ability to illuminate the deeper paths within me has been transformative. She helped me navigate through my most challenging times with ease and grace, allowing me to emerge stronger and more aware of my own strengths and capabilities. I am deeply grateful for her support and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone seeking meaningful and profound life changes." - Vanessa, Texas
