Through over 45 years of experience, I developed the know how to integrate various ideas and concepts. Proper planning will save time and money for years to come. I am a true Handyman, or available for hire. On occassion I do refer you to specialty contractors if it exceeds the scope of work I am limited to by law, Creativity and having the opportunity to implement concepts that bring a fresh, heathy living environment, through design, service ( puttin a smile on people I meet) and materials that improve the air quality in and around your home.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

It is important to know what the budget is since time, material and design play a huge role in the cost of final project. Also what type of tools are used on the job, - I am proud to keep my tools in excellent working condition, - better cuts. Always sharp tools in the shed, so to speak. So there cannot be a standard pricing system. Design crafted is time dependent not dollars and cents.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Lead customer in the right direction of material selection. Give them a ballpark figure. Helping them in the process of getting what they are looking for to a fair price with quality products and supplies. Quality takes time and in general you spend the same amount with those material as you would with Run of the mill Big Store Home Improvement Items. Face It the Labor is the Same, the products are the same, but the quality of production differs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an AD in civil engineering from the FHS Ingolstadt as well as 2 years of extended practice and studies at the Max Planck Institute in Munich. Searching and learning about new products and concepts that contribute to a healthy living environment have led to my Green Building Certification at SBCC, Santa Barbara. I further undertook studies in restoring natural habitats at SBCC

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started work on construction sites since the age of 9. I love being creative and build something that lasts. I am always in tune with my surroundings and it carries over to the projects I am involved with.

What types of customers have you worked with?

While most of my work involves residential customers, some of which I am privileged to work for since decades, my services are also in demand on institutional and commercial projects

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Repairs and Remodels are my specialty, that's why my services are in demand worldwide. Through vsion and execution of project on hand I have the privilege Restoring and updating historical buildings in Europe where, on one occasion, the owner recieved an award, as well as a grant towards the cost of the project.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Invite him or her to your project. Spend the time to walk through it and ask what different ideas and designs may benefit you. I feel the project and envision the final harmony

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Does he or she work with own ideas and creativity and/or simple run of the mill projects and materials. Does he or she take the time to research better products or just the available home center materials - typically a better product saves money in the long run, even so you might haqve to custom order it - often its not even more expensive. Does he or she know how to work with the new materials and products on the market today
