What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Local moves are typically billed hourly based on the amount of movers, trucks and equipment needed. Long distance moves are generally billed at a flat rate.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We conduct estimates over the phone, virtually (facetime or skype) or in person at the clients residence. Larger moves typically require an in-home estimate (free of charge).

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our Teams are AMSA (American Moving & Storage Association) Certified. We also conduct our own training program, both initially with new hires and ongoing continuing education with our moving teams.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

The owner got started in the summer of 2006 when he unloaded his first UHaul with his brother for a family friend...3 years later FCM was formed...since then we have completed over 30,000 Stress-Free Moves!

What types of customers have you worked with?

We serve all types of customers! From students, young professionals, families of all sized, small - large businesses, colleges, etc. We are a Massachusetts State Contract Holder (FAC96) and a Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium (MHEC) approved vendor.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Every move is unique, every day is different and every client is a VIP!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you hire a company that is licensed, insured and responsive to your needs and patient with any question or request you may have!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Always ask for License and Insurance information (they should be willing to send over a Certificate of Insurance - COI). Lay out all of your questions and concerns - if the mover isn't comfortable answering them - move on!
