What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

pricing may vary due to degree of difficulty, travel time, size and weight of the piano A good description always helps and photos also.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

It helped me through college years ago when the music store I worked for had 300 rentals and learned the ropes from the store owner and 74 year old father in law. I called my friend and competitor also.

What types of customers have you worked with?

all kinds, from Clint Eastwood at his 3 resorts around Carmel for recording on my grand pianos, to weddings, fundraisers at the Monterey Aquarium, concerts from Big Sur Jazz Festival, to concerts at the Golden State theater for Pink Martini to the Rio Theatre for Pink Martini, Esperanza Spalding, and many more ( too numerous to mention)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would leave it to the pros, sometimes furniture movers aren't equipped to tackle the tricky ones because they aren't experienced enough to make the right decision, then they call us to bail them out.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What kind of piano are we moving? Spinet (36"H) console ( 38-44") Studio upright (48- 56") upright grand (60") or Baby Grand 4'- 5'8" 6'+ are full size grand pianos. Are there any stairs, or steps? Can you provide any helpful picture?
