Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are affordable and professional, and our pricing is clear and transparent with no hidden fees. We charge hourly for local moves and offer a flat-rate or space-tied pricing for cross-country projects. We provide professional furniture padding and services like dissasembly/reassembly at no extra charge. And we always aim to meet your needs and budget! Please feel free to reach out for a fair competitive quote.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We personally connect with every new customer over the phone to introduce ourselves, learn about their move and discuss how we can be the right fit for each other. On the day of the move, we come fully equipped, set the scene by protecting floors, walls, and furniture. We pack and load the truck. On the other end, we unload and place all items exactly where you would like. If anything needs to be disassembled and reassembled we do that as well. If storage or advanced packing is required we come prepared. An easy to reach personal contact remains open before, during, and after every move.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Every team member completes our special "Moving Academy" process and learns to handle most delicate and difficult furniture pieces with care. We train to wrap and protect, disassemble and reassemble, pack and unpack everything in the most efficient way possible.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Dmitri and Sasha have been working in the moving and transportation industry for over ten years. They started On It Movers as a labor-only side hustle that with time became a consistent contract labor provider and later grew into a full-service moving company.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Our goal is to meet needs and requirements of all members in our communities. We have served big commercial office moves, white-glove mansion moves, but also small budget moves from one apartment to another down the street. We are equipped to pack and protect the most difficult and delicate objects for local and cross-country moves.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Many of our projects are memorable, as we often hear back from our customers who send us family referrals or call us back themselves. One of the most recent projects was a big move from Boston to Miami, FL for a close family friend. She and her family ended up taking a trip to Europe in between selling the old house and buying the new one, and that trip turned into a year-long adventure during which we stored their belongings safely. Not long ago, when they were ready we completed the delivery and helped them turn their new 4 bedroom condo into a home

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Plan ahead of time and prepare a list of items that you plan to move. When hiring a company, verify their licenses and make sure they are insured and capable to handle your project without surprises.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I recommend going through your house/office, compiling a list of items that you are planning to move, and taking a note of any pieces that might require special handling (e.g.: extremely heavy, bulky, or fragile items).
