Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
No fees. Each lawn is different depending on size, and additional taskes added. However all pricing is very reasonable. For light hauling, I charge by how many truckloads it will take to complete the job...

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to meet the new customer at their home and get an idea of their needs and concerns and address each at that moment. I will alter our general operation to their specific wishes and needs. There will be no guessing as to what and when me and my partner will be servicing the property.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My father and uncles starting cutting lawns over 50 years ago and I started cutting with my grandfather as a young teenager. I have since continued with our small business on my own for the past 8 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Long story short, I continued a small business that my dad and his brothers started over 50 years ago...

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with many different types. I am a very trustworthy person and perform the same whether the person (s) are home or not. I have many customers that I have met only once and cut their lawn as a vacation home for them and they are never at that house more than 1-2 weeks/year. We have a very trusting relationship.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I was asked by a new customer if we could handle higher than knee high grass, because others could not. My partner and I took the task and had it done within 30 minutes. PS, those are the pictures I have attached to my profile.....

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Meet the person who is actually going to be doing the work and make sure you are all on the same page as to what work needs to be done and when it can be done. If you hire me, I will personally be on site, not send someone else.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I would say budget, timeline and schedule are the main points. If you have a budget in mind then stick with it and make sure the customer and contractor are on the same page as far as timeline and schedule are concerned....
