What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We have a set rate of $140/hr This includes the truck, two movers, assembly/disassembly, blankets, and straps. Larger jobs that require 3 movers are $160/hr. We also charge a $1 a mile .Depending on size of job we may give a discount after certain amount of hours. There is also a charge of $25 for moving appliances and electric exercise machines.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will call them and ask them a few questions about themselves. I enjoy meeting new people. I’ll find out what needs moved and how far. Using this information I will develop an invoice of the charges and send via email. If the customer then decides to hire me we will schedule a time and date.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been moving customers for Reliable Moving and Labor for 3yrs. I worked for another moving company for a few yrs prior to starting my own business.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have moved many times in my life. A friend told me of a website who hire moving help. I signed up and began getting jobs. After a couple years I took the leap and started my own Moving company. I enjoy the freedom of working for myself. I enjoy the workout I get while moving customers property. I really enjoy helping others and take pride in doing a great job.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I’ve worked with school principals, businessmen, golfing pros, and stay at home mothers. Along with many other customers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I moved a customer who had a 3 bedroom townhouse. Many large items had to be carried around the row of homes. The customer was so impressed with how we managed the obstacles that they gave us a great review and a large tip. I was proud of the job we did for them.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I was suggest that you ask for reference and check out their reviews. We are able to provide both great references and outstanding reviews.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The first thing is who do I trust. You should not trust just anyone in your home. Second, does the company have insurance. We are insured Third, would be value. Is the service being offered affordable. I know you can trust us and I believe we offer great value.
