What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

It is $60 / guy per hour with a flat service fee of $25. We have a minimum of 2 guys and 2 hours for that it is $265. Of course you can add guys and time. We only charge what we work and that's rounded off per quarter hour. **NEW FOR 2025** Each day we are offering a Quick Job Rate. If you have one piece of furniture that needs to be moved inside your home we are offering a $175 2 Man Team, 1 Hour package. Slots are limited on daily basis, mention Quick Job in your request!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We typically process all customers through the phone and take a card number to solidify the time/date asked for. A contract is sent out to the customer to sign so the customer understands our company along with pricing/information provided.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary in 2022 and our Google reviews tell it all. We are reliable and only hire guys that represent our company values. All of our team members are pleasant to work with and knowledgable.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Our owner started Rent The Help to provide reliable, professional hourly labor services to the community. When Rent The Help was founded we did not envision the majority of our work to be moving related, but our team has moved over 8,000 people since we opened in 2012. Whether you need help loading a Uhaul or stacking firewood, we are here to help.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have assisted a wide variety of "Richmonders" over the past decade. On the business front, our sweet spot is businesses in the service industry who need things moved to fulfill their service, this includes painters, flooring contractors, realtors, stagers, and storage facilities. On the residential side we can help anyone who is looking for Labor. Whether that be loading a POD or mulching your yard we are here to help. We even have customers who call us every year to help them move Christmas decorations down from the attic and assist with setup.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you do research on the company you want to use and compare pricing before booking. We get at least 2 calls a week from customers who's moving provider cancelled on them last minute. READ REVIEWS and focus on what people say about the employees.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Price is important, but be sure you do a deep dive on the company before booking. We recommend reading reviews on a minimum of 3 websites. Look at the volume of ads as well.
