Introduction

My murals stand out because I have over 20 years painting them and have done over 200 in Hawaii and California. The design process starts by listening to the clients wishes , ideas and colors. Sketches are then produced with a quote and a timeframe. My work goes over and beyond a hired muralist. I have a passion for what I do in wanting the best result.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Murals start at 500 for something simple and can go up to 5,000 or 20,000 depending on the size and detail. When I work on a project and its off the ground and requires scaffolding it will cost more. Traveling and hotels are no problem because gas and hotels are included in the pricing. I have permanent residences in Palo Alto, Los Angeles and Fresno, Ca

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first meeting we review what the customer wants. They may give photos or examples at this point and I do a quick sketch. A deposit of 200 is received and I leave to work on the sketch. Our second meeting I present the sketch, at this time we review any changes of color or design. An agreement is reached and the work schedule is planned out... a deposit of one third is given and the starting day is set.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I actually did a mural in my Moms laundry room when I was 4. She had a large cardboard barrel that she would keep clothing in to iron. I did a farm scene with green rolling hills,black and white cows, blue sky with little white puffy clouds. I opened my first art school when I was 14. My teacher found out that I had a desire to teach art so she introduced me to a rich woman that let me teach in her garage. I had lesson plans and student that were 6 and 7 and the paid 2 dollars each. Years later in Hawaii I assisted Eric Grohe on mural projects in Hawaii at Shriners hospital.
