What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a licensed General B Contractor in the state of California, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience in the construction and restoration industries. In addition to my contractor’s license, I hold certifications from the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification), the nationwide standard of care firm for water damage restoration, mold remediation, and fire recovery. I combine technical expertise with industry-recognized training to deliver reliable, high-quality restoration services.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I got started in this field through hands-on experience in the construction industry, where I gained a deep understanding of building systems and repair work. Over time, I found myself drawn to restoration—especially the opportunity to help people recover from water damage, mold, and fire-related issues. I pursued industry certification through the IICRC to ensure I was delivering work that met national standards. With over 10 years of on-the-job experience and a General B Contractor license in California, I’ve built a career focused on quality, trust, and service during times when customers need it most.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
’ve worked with a wide range of customers, including homeowners, landlords, property managers, real estate investors, HOAs, and insurance adjusters. My projects have ranged from small residential water leaks to large-scale mold remediation and fire damage recovery in multi-unit properties. Whether it’s a single-family home or a commercial property, I bring the same level of care, professionalism, and communication to every job.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of the most memorable projects we recently completed involved a home that had been severely flooded due to a burst pipe. The homeowners were overwhelmed and unsure of where to start. We responded quickly, assessed the damage, and began water extraction and mitigation the same day. Over the next few days, we removed damaged materials, set up drying equipment, applied antimicrobial treatments, and monitored progress closely. Throughout the process, we kept the homeowners informed and reassured. By the end, their home was clean, dry, and ready for repairs. It felt good to not only restore their home—but also to bring them peace of mind during such a stressful time.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When water damage strikes, time is critical. Acting fast helps prevent further damage, but just as important is hiring the right contractor for the job. Make sure they are licensed, insured, and certified—so you can have confidence that the work is done right the first time.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is the scope of the damage? Is it limited to a specific area, or is the issue more widespread (e.g., water, mold, or fire damage)? Have you contacted your insurance? Understanding whether your insurance policy covers the damage can help clarify financial expectations and the restoration process. What is your timeline? Are you looking for emergency services or a more flexible schedule for repairs? What’s your budget for the project? Establishing a budget beforehand helps to focus on providers that align with your financial expectations. Do you have any preferences for materials or methods? Whether it’s a particular type of flooring, finishes, or treatment methods, knowing these preferences can help professionals provide a tailored estimate. Do you need help with insurance claims? Some contractors, especially in restoration work, can assist in navigating insurance claims or providing detailed estimates for adjusters. Are there specific certifications or qualifications you’re looking for? Asking about licenses, insurance, and certifications like IICRC ensures you’re working with a reputable professional. What’s the expected outcome? Clarifying what a “successful” project looks like to you can help ensure expectations are aligned.
