Q&A

My pricing is quite fair and takes into consideration the complexity of the project. Balusters and railings, deck boards, steps, and exterior rim bands all need to be considered in measurements.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I get all of the information upfront so that there are no surprises in the process. This can include getting pictures and measurements from the client or a visit for me to do the measurements myself. It can sometimes be both.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a certificate of completion and an honors award for excellence from Central County Occupational Center. I have a four-year apprenticeship program for from the Carpenter apprenticeship program. I am a licensed contractor from the state of California.

I work with a variety of homeowners and property investors to transform decks from all over the Bay Area and Monterey County.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I worked on a 2000 square-foot deck in Carmel Valley. The new owner wanted to restore it and it was a challenge. It required grinding, sanding, and final sanding to ensure an even, blotch free finish.
