What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I base pricing on the job, not square footage. some jobs are very complex and time consuming, others are in and out.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to meet the customer at the project venue, go over exactly what they want done, and give an exact quote on site. This part of the process is free of charge.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was trained by some of the best Midwestern painters 20+ years ago, and have been improving on the skills they imparted to me since then. I am a master painter.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was in college, my fellow student needed good workers for his paint company, and I was looking for a more rewarding career.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with everyone from the former CEO of Sea World to folks working back of house in restaurants to the city of Boulder's main housing authority. I treat all my customers with the same integrity and respect that we all deserve.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Removed vinyl wallpaper on plaster with heavy glue, repaired all walls, and caulked in all the trim. It was a hard job, but it came out great in four days!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure they will actually do the work, or at least be on site. A lot of paint contractors won't be present on your job while the work is being done. High volume does not equal high quality.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

-How long have you been painting professionally? - How many jobs like this one have you done? - Do you charge for estimates?
