We educate every customer on the best paint choices for their home and walk them through our thorough prep process, which we follow on every job—no shortcuts. Each project is managed by the owner with personal jobsite visits in the morning, afternoon, and end of day to ensure quality. While we occasionally offer seasonal promotions, our focus is always on fair, clear, and upfront pricing.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process starts with a friendly in-home estimate and consultation, where we walk the property with the homeowner to understand their goals, preferences, and any specific concerns. After that, we’ll do a solo walk-around to take detailed measurements and prepare an on-the-spot proposal—all within about 20–30 minutes. Once you're ready to move forward, we’ll support your color selection with either a complimentary visualizer tool or an optional in-home meeting with our professional color consultant to make sure you feel confident in your final decision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I bring over 15 years of experience in exterior home improvements, including project management, product knowledge, and customer care. Remod is a licensed contractor—which sets us apart in an industry where many painters are not—and we’re qualified to offer woodwork repairs and siding replacement when needed. We’re also EPA Lead-Safe Certified, which means we’re properly trained and authorized to work on homes built before 1978 to keep your family safe and compliant with federal regulations.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my career in corporate America, working for a national manufacturer and distributor of leading exterior building products. Over time, I developed a deep passion for home improvements—especially the creativity and craftsmanship involved. But what truly drives me is meeting new people in our community and seeing the joy a great exterior transformation brings to homeowners.

We’ve worked with just about every type of homeowner—those with a clear vision, those needing lots of guidance, busy clients with tight schedules, and detail-oriented customers who want everything just right. We pride ourselves on being flexible and easy to work with because we understand that no two clients are the same. Everyone deserves a tailored experience, and we’re here to meet people where they are.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of our favorite projects was a two-story home with a walkout basement—some peaks reached nearly 40 feet! The homeowner chose Sherwin-Williams Emerald Rain Refresh in Naval for the body and Extra White for the trim, a bold and modern combo. This premium paint includes self-cleaning technology, which required specific prep products and techniques to ensure proper adhesion and long-term durability. The home was about 8 years old with severely faded siding, so we dedicated the entire first day to thorough preparation. The full project took four days, and watching the transformation unfold—with the homeowner’s excitement growing each day—was incredibly rewarding for our team.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do a little research before inviting someone to your home—look at reviews and ask smart questions. Always ask how they prepare the surface before painting, how often the job is checked by a project manager each day, and how they plan to keep your property clean. A professional should confidently provide proof of insurance and explain how they’ll protect your home with drop cloths, plastic, and floor paper to ensure a tidy and respectful worksite.
