Pricing depends on whether your project is indoor or outdoor, size of the wall, materials involved, and design process. I typically charge between $15-25/square foot.

I speak with the customer over the phone and ask questions about what they are looking for, why they want the particular design, and what the purpose of the mural is. I complete one design with two revisions before we begin the mural. I’m having to take feedback along the way to ensure the client is satisfied.

I have a Master's Degree in painting from the University of Iowa.

I was invited to help a friend of mine with a mural in Iowa. I enjoyed the process and started thinking about how I could go about designing my own mural. I won a design competition in Iowa City where I was awarded $6000 to complete a mural for Filmscene, an independent movie theater in downtown Iowa. The funding came from Iowa hospitals and banks and I worked with a muralist in town who shared his expertise in materials and methods with me. When I moved to a Chicago, I began to get involved in the creative community and find opportunities to create public art works and private commissions.

Local businesses I have worked with are Filmscene Theater in Iowa City, Joong Boo Korean Market in Glenview, and Mugsy Jeans in Lincoln Park. I have also worked on murals in private residences.

I enjoyed the Butchart Gardens Landscape painting I created for a client to hang in her bathroom to cover a mirror cabinet.
