Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing reflects a quality over price mindset. I may not be the least expensive quote, but I ensure the job is done right the first time. I only use the best quality materials and do not cut corners on my craftsmanship. I want my projects to be features that will last for years to come in my customer's homes. I do offer seasonal specials through my website, so be sure to check that out!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The process can vary greatly depending on the scope and intricacy of the project. In all cases I offer free quotes/ consultations with no obligation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Experience is the best teacher. I have chosen to keep my scope concise and specialize in finishing touches. I watch, read, listen to as much as I can to continue learning and improving my craft.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
It has truly been a snowball experience. I began working on projects in my own home. Family and friends took notice and next thing I knew I was working on projects in their homes. I continued to hone my skills, add equipment, and tackle new types of projects. I was able to turn something I enjoy into a full time business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with quite a large variety of customers with jobs big and small. The majority of my customers are looking for kitchen cabinet painting and custom touches in their kitchens.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
It's tough to pick just one. I am however partial to my kitchen projects. Cabinet painting is the ultimate up-cycle. There is satisfaction in taking a 10 or 20 year old kitchen (or older) and making it shine like new. Most of my kitchen cabinet projects take 2-3 weeks start to finish.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Always shop for professionalism over price. The cheaper options may cost you more than you realize in frustration during your project and discontentment with the final results. In short, you tend to get what you pay for!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1) What are my expectations, how do I want this project to look, feel, function when it is done? 2) What is the scope of my project? How much should I take on at a given time? 3) Where am I willing or not willing to compromise?
