Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer high quality workmanship while using only the best paint offered by Sherwin Williams. We provide FREE in person or remote estimates.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
From the second D-Wing comes in contact with a client, to after the job has been finished, we go above and beyond to provide the best overall service and customer care. We will always come out for a in person free estimate. We typically will walk the job with the customer while taking notes of specifics like any damage, number of coats of paint, any caulking, time frame of work, and any other questions that us or the customer may have, will be gone over in person before signing or agreeing to a contact. A contract will be written up by D-Wing and sent over to the client for review and signing. Starting work day: The customer can expect the crew to come in and start preparations before any work is done. We like to fully cover all working areas with plastic, tarps, rosin paper, and carpet protectant. Once the job is prepped, our team will begin with any patching or repairing. Followed by priming, Painting, and touch ups. We will Typically have a little space either inside or outside to keep our tools and materials out of the customers way. ALL jobs are walked and quality controlled before, during and after by the paint division manager.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have over 5 years of painting experience in commercial and residential. With 4 additional years of experience in customer service and Managment. Our team consists of painters with 10+ years of painting experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
At a young age, I was introduced to working manual labor jobs. I always loved working with my hands and talking to new people! Going from being a Journeyman painter in the district 30 painters union, to now the manger of the Painting Division at D-Wing Construction has made me realize my passion for painting and leading an amazing crew!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
D-Wing works with all types of customers and people! From different cultures, race, religion and language. We enjoy working with EVERYBODY to ensure our communities receive the best workman ship and customer service from start to finish and beyond!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently Painted the exterior of a customers home that had a beautiful landscape. The home owner wanted a refresh 1 coat of the same color paint as before. We were able to spray most of the house which is always fun! The project took 2 work weeks due to some rain delay days. The home owner was very happy with our workman ship and responsiveness.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When hiring a professional Painting company, there are 3 key things to look for: 1. Responsiveness- If you contact a professional painting company and they don’t contact you back for days, they are not eager or passionate for the service they provide. Always hire someone who will respond fast and has good communication. 2. Knowledge on Painting and products- All professional painters should know their process and products that they use, as well as the materials that they are going on. A great painting company will provide you with painters who are educational about their job. Always ask about the companies process on how they prep the work area, and their plan to complete the job correctly. 3. Legal Professionalism- You must ensure that you hire a company that is bonded and insured. Always have a contract between you and the company you are hiring for the job.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Below is a list of common questions customers have or may want to think about: 1. When do I want/need my project started and done by? 2. Will the company I hire be supplying all paint and materials for the job? 3. Is the company I’m hiring insured and bonded? 4. What is my budget for this project? 5. How many coats are wanted per wall, ceiling, cabinets, etc. ? 6. Do I need any other trade work done first? ( Typically, the painter is the last one out) This helps customers from having to bring a painter out twice.
