Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Prices are all inclusive of design formation, travel, materials, taxes, etc. The number I give you comes with zero surprises 😄

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
It's a simple 4 step process! 1) Scope finalization. We will meet to view the space, measure, and discuss your preliminary ideas. I'll send you a mood board and a proposal based on your desired. 2) Deposit. Once you approve of the scope, half of the total payment will be delivered, and we will get to moving! 3) Mock-up. I'll create the design of your dreams so you'll know exactly what you're getting. 4) Execution. You get to sit back, relax, and watch your design come to life what seems like overnight!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’ve been an artist for over 20 years, professionally trained in various mediums - and as a muralist specifically, I’ve painted over 2,500 square feet ▪️🦶

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As a little girl, I remember seeing murals when I went to “fancy” big towns on vacation. I would always ask myself, “How could I do that one day?” Then as a grew older I realized that all it takes to make a dream come true is hard work, persistence, and talent (not anyones approval) - so I made it happen myself.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Corporate, small business, volunteer, public program - you name it, I've muraled it!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
That would be a tie between the Bin Q mural and the Haylee Mel cosmetics mural. The Bin Q mural was so fun and punchy (not to mention their parking lot has been absolutely full since the unveiling) - the mural at Haylee's permanent makeup studio incorporated more realism and a fun artistic interpretation that I don't get to use in mural projects very often!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
A mural is an opportunity to add true uniqueness and creativity. You want someone who dives deep with you into your own values, things you love, how you want to feel in that space - and incorporates that into the design. You don’t want someone who simply mimics Pinterest or paints blown up logos. (Your customers already know what your logo looks like, use this opportunity to give them something they unconsciously crave: a unique experience and setting)

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Come ready with Pinterest examples. Of course we're not going to copy the design - but seeing examples of work that you like (and WHY you like it) will make the overall process much more efficient!
