Introduction

Greater Boston based artist Alexander Golob was born in 1994 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to a bilingual, Italian and Jewish-American household. He has studied art in both Boston and Venice, Italy - from which he takes a great deal of inspiration. It is his mission to create engaging art that expands beyond the walls of a gallery to provoke thought in the public, lifts up viewers, and transforms physical space. Moreover, Alexander is skilled at bringing the often complex process of creating a public artwork to fruition - engaging all stakeholders throughout the development of the artwork. The artist also aims to improve conditions for artists by developing a fair artistic practice. I love working with individuals and communities to transform spaces through art.

I tend to conduct a site visit and meetings with new clients in order to develop a design. Usually after a few drafts, we agree on a design and move forward with buying materials, organizing a work space, creating the art, et cetera.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been completing commissions, both public and private, since 2013. Currently, I own Golob Art, an LLC focusing on creating dynamic works of art, consulting for large art projects, and enlivening communities through art-related functions. I also hold a BFA in painting from Boston University (2016).
