What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is fairly individualized. Typically costs of projects are standard however I am willing to work with customers to discuss options when funding could be an issue. Additionally I offer a first time customer discount as well as a veterans discount. I also give incentives at times when a customer refers a friend.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When I receive a call or email for a new project I work with the customer to meet in person to discuss details of the project and what to expect from both myself and others involved in the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have completed some college for a Bachelors degree in business. I also have years of on the job training in this field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began painting and doing small repairs 10 years ago when I was still living in Africa. I was working for a friend who owned a similar business. In the US my work doing painting and small repairs began in 2015. I now own my business in which some of my employees have 30 or more years of experience.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with customers in a variety of areas including central Maine, southern Maine, and New Hampshire. These projects included painting, repairs, small project such as TV mounting, furniture assembly and cleaning projects.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A recent project that I am fond of involved painting a house including the kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, and kitchen ceiling. It was a large project that was rewarding to complete. The project took four days of labor to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Customers should look for good customer service from the provider as well as the provider’s ability to work with customers regarding what is expected and understood.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Customers could start thinking about the project’s needs and what their budget for repairs could look like as well as how long it could take to complete the project.
