What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We provide clear, detailed, no-pressure estimates — always free. Pricing is based on the scope of work, prep needs, and materials. We offer seasonal discounts, including our biggest savings in the spring and fall. There are no hidden fees, and we make sure you understand exactly what you’re paying for before we begin.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a quick initial phone call. From there, we schedule an in-person hour and a half estimate (we like being thorough) where we walk the project with you, answer your questions, and provide a detailed proposal. If you move forward, we lock in a tentative schedule, send you a weekly update text, guide you through prep, daily AM & PM updates when we're on the job, & do a final walkthrough with you to ensure you're happy. We don't leave the job until you say we're done. Our goal is to make it easy for you to “hibernate while we paint.”
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team is trained in high-level surface prep, product knowledge, and industry-best application techniques. We combine hands-on experience with continuous learning to ensure we’re delivering professional, long-lasting results. We also prioritize communication and customer service as part of our training — not just painting.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After years of working with contractors, I saw a clear need: homeowners wanted great results and a professional experience — clear communication, reliability, and respect for their home. Boulevard Painting was founded to bring white glove service to a blue-collar world.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work primarily with homeowners throughout the Kansas City metro, especially in Johnson County, KS & Jackson County, MO. Our customers range from first-time buyers needing their exterior updated, to families getting ready to sell, to long-time residents investing in a refresh.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently completed an interior project for a new homeowner in Overland Park, KS. We painted (3) rooms before the furniture arrived. From initial contact to job completion was one week. We were thrilled to be able to meet the customers tight schedule and bring a fresh look to his new home!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask about prep. Quality prep is the foundation of a long-lasting paint job. Also, pay attention to communication — if it’s hard to get answers before the job starts, it’s not likely to improve once you’re on the schedule.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Think about your goals: Are you refreshing the look, protecting your home, or prepping for sale? Know your timeline, whether it’s urgent or flexible. And decide what kind of experience matters most to you — fastest? Cheapest? Or a job done right, with clear communication from start to finish?
