What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I do give more discounts in the colder months of the year. I charge by the square foot and can occasionally give pricing through pictures from online resources such as Realty sites and Google Earth.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually start with understanding what the customer needs and the full scope of work. If needed help them select their colors and explain the available products. I like to walk them through the process from start to finish so they know what to expect. Going over the contract and estimate is very important so there are no surprises on either side.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 25 years of experience painting custom homes and completing commercial projects. I completed my apprenticeship as a painter in the year 2000 and have knowledge about every facet of the painting industry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started my training as a painter during my high school years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with General Contractors, sub contractors, realtors, commercial property managers and homeowners. I enjoy working with every kind customer.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently painted the exterior of a brick home. The project took two weeks to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask for photos from recent or past projects. Don’t just hire the cheapest contractor. You usually get what you pay for when you hire a painting contractor.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think about what you need as far as needing a custom home painter or do you need maintenance painting possibly for a rental property. This can help you decide what kind of contractor to hire and what level of quality you are looking for.
