What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We do a complementary consultation and estimate for all jobs. After that consultation you will have a clear picture of pricing and an approximate timeline to make your decision.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We always start a consultation to determine your needs and make sure our pricing and services are a fit for you. It is important that we can see the space and best understand what you are wanting to achieve. Whenever possible, we will try to give you a quote on site the day of the estimate for most painting services and basic design and color consultation services. More extensive renovation or design projects we may need to get back to you on. If you move forward we typically take 50% down and 50% upon completion. We generally handle all material pickup or have delivered to your home unless you specify or prefer otherwise.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are a proudly 100% woman owned business! Shannon, our owner and principal consultant, has over 20 years experience in design and renovations. She has helped many people transform their spaces over the years from small 'cosmetic' renovations to full scale remodels, she has seen it all. She has worked as a project manager on large renovations, as a Operations Director at a large bathroom remodeling company and has worked on hundreds of houses along the way. Let her years of experience translate into an amazing space for you! Her insight into your project will be invaluable and she always has great ideas on how to make your spaces more inviting & functional.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

This is a long story but it wasn't planned :) Sometimes you just find something you are really good at and you can't help but be drawn to it. For us, it is making houses beautiful - one room at a time. It is a passion. The sign in our office says 'Do What You Love - Love What You Do'. This has become our mantra and we truly enjoy helping you transform your home.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We primarily work with customers who care deeply about the spaces that they live in. Our customer aren't people who paint just to cover holes or renovate just because their sink is leaking. Our customers are typically people who want their living spaces to reflect their personalities and visions they have for their spaces.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

There are so many we have loved but we really loved the last teen room we did that was an 'ocean' theme. She wanted ocean but not beach. That part was a challenge but we managed to pull it off :) It took about a week to complete once we started and had all of the planning done. We love kids & theme rooms!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you hire someone who will listen to your needs & wants and professionally transform your space. Careful planning and consideration should go into each and every project Hire a company that cares deeply about the finished product! ALL CONTRACTORS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL. Imagine us saying that very loudly to make sure you hear it...

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think carefully about how you want your spaces to look and function. It isn't a bad idea to look at similar spaces as well and see what elements you like from other designs but remember your home is unique. I'd also say to consider being 'open minded' before your project. A company like us is often able to come in and give suggestions of things you may not have thought of and that part of the process can be really fun to work through.
