What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, I listen carefully to the customer's needs and ask a few questions to fully understand the project. I provide an honest estimate and, if needed, offer advice on materials or technical solutions. Once we agree on the plan, I schedule the job promptly and always arrive on time, fully prepared with all necessary tools.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 10 years of hands-on experience in home improvement, drywall, painting, and general handyman services. My skills have been developed through working on hundreds of real-life projects in both residential and commercial settings. I originally came to the U.S. from Russia, where I earned a degree in engineering and worked as an engineer for over 20 years. I now apply that technical background to my handyman and construction work — from designing kitchens and building decks to installing electrical outlets, light fixtures, and household appliances. I’m also able to provide useful advice on appliance use and help with basic diagnostics or repairs, though I now specialize primarily in construction and general handyman services.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My journey began back in Russia, where I worked as an engineer for over 20 years. I was always drawn to hands-on problem solving and practical work, so when I moved to the U.S., I naturally transitioned into construction and handyman services. What started as small projects for friends and neighbors quickly turned into a full-time career that I truly enjoy. I get real satisfaction — and even energy — from seeing happy clients and hearing their appreciation for a job well done. That feeling motivates me every day. Most often, my customers are private individuals and property flipping companies. I’ve also worked with interior designers and corporate clients — including hotel owners, daycare centers, schools, and medical facilities. No matter the size of the project, from minor repairs to full renovations, I always approach the work with care, precision, and a high level of professionalism.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One recent project I really enjoyed was transforming a client's unfinished basement into a fully functional living space. I installed drywall partitions to divide the area, mounted a large TV, added recessed lighting, painted all the walls and ceilings, and installed baseboards. The project took about five days and completely changed the look and feel of the space. The client was very happy with the result, and it was rewarding to turn an empty basement into a warm, comfortable room.
