Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our pricing includes a flat $125 trip fee, which helps cover the costs of travel, time, and the materials needed for the initial assessment. This is standard in the industry, as it ensures we can provide the best possible service without unexpected costs affecting the overall project. For the actual work, I provide a detailed, transparent estimate after evaluating the project, so you’ll know exactly what to expect. We also have a referral program rewarding you with 10% off your next service after a successful referral.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I’ve always been drawn to working with my hands. My grandfather was a craftsman, and from a young age, he showed me the value of doing things the right way and taking pride in the work. He’d have me help him around the house, fixing things or building small projects, and that’s where I really started to develop an appreciation for the craft. Over time, I learned the importance of attention to detail, the kind of work that lasts, and the satisfaction of seeing a job well done. As I got older, I began training professionally, both in formal settings and through hands-on experience. The combination of learning the technical skills and understanding the values passed down from my grandfather shaped the kind of handyman I am today. For me, it’s not just about fixing things, it’s about preserving the integrity of a space and the people who live in it. It’s more than just a job, it’s something I take pride in, and it’s been an honor to carry on that tradition.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A project that really sticks with me was a bathroom refresh I did for a single mom and her daughter. They’d been living with a cramped, outdated bathroom for years, and while it wasn’t a big job, it made a huge difference to their everyday life. They wanted a space that felt fresh, welcoming, and a bit more functional. We replaced the old tiles, updated the vanity, and added some modern touches like a rain showerhead and new lighting. The whole project took just about a week, but seeing how happy they were with the results was priceless. They were thrilled with the transformation, something as simple as a new coat of paint and better storage made their mornings a lot easier and more enjoyable. It was a quick project, but it reminded me how even the smallest changes can make a huge impact on someone’s day to day life.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
