Introduction

My art is a mixture of stylized realism with a bit of humor and elements of pop art. I am inspired by site specific elements, local flair, and nature. I have worked with an extensive variety of clientele, from homeowners to large corporate businesses on creating just the right design to best represent their style or business. I am OSHA certified on lift operation, and I have led artistic projects that involve community participation and am comfortable interacting with the public and the media.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing ranges based on the square footage of the wall as well as materials and level of detail in the design. I can design for any budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I start with an initial phone, zoom or in person consultation where we discuss what you are looking for and throw around some initial ideas. I have a questionnaire I have my client fill out so that I can have a clear idea of who they are, what their business is, and what they would like their space to convey. Then I provide a quote and take a 20% deposit to begin digital sketches that I can superimpose onto an image of their space. When we have landed on the final design I either hand sketch or project the image onto their wall and begin to paint. The final amount is due upon completion of the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I attended Winthrop University and studied fine art. After college I purchased an art gallery where I represented over 30 local artists. On average I paint around 20 murals each year.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been a professional artist for 14 years, since 2009, specializing in pet portraits on canvas. In 2016 I was given an opportunity to design and paint a mural at a local brewery, and fell in love with painting on a larger scale. Each project is unique and exciting, and I love to take a wall that is blank and make it something beautiful.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Homeowners, business owners, charities, community mural projects, construction companies, and painting companies.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I just completed painting a mini bus for Esther’s Heart, which will provide food, clothing and toiletries to the homeless population in Charlotte NC. It is bright and bold in design, and will serve an important section of our community. It took 2 weeks to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Take a peek at the artists portfolio to determine if they are the right fit for your style and taste in art.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What message do you want your mural to convey? What style of art is your preference? What color palette do you have in mind? What is your budget?
