Introduction

My name is Jeanine Romeo, I have been in business for over 25 years. Art and Interior design are two of my passions. I love being able to help clients either select the perfect wall color, repaint an outdated piece of furniture, stage a room, create a mural or hand paint original artwork. Every job is unique and exciting.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing depends on each job. It all depends on how long a job will take me to complete. I will always give them an estimate before we start. If someone has a budget, I will work with them on that. I can simplify a design to stay within their budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We first talk on the phone about the project, then I usually set up a meeting to meet them and see the space or talk about the project. I then send an estimate along with several ideas for the work to be done. If the estimate is accepted, I put them on the work calendar to have it completed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have my bachelors degree in Fine Arts & Design from Montclair State College. I’ve taken graduate courses at Fashion Institute of Technology and Wake Tech.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always loved art. From a young age of 12 , I would get private lessons from a professional artist on the weekends.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I love my customers ! I have all types of clients, from new parents designing a first time nursery , to elder folks looking for a piece of furniture to refinish to give a grandchild, to business owners looking for commercial branding for their office space. Every job is unique and that’s what I love about my job!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently completed a faux brick wall for a client . It took two full days to complete, but it looks like it has been there for many years!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I tell people who are hiring me, you get what you pay for. For the quality of work that I do, it is well worth it. I’ve been called in many times to correct amateur jobs that were botched.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I tell people to think about what their end result would like to be. I tell them to collect images of what they like, so I have an idea of what to do. If they have no idea, then I could provide concepts for them to consider.
