What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each job is different, so in order to give you the most accurate price - we need to know the full scope of the work. This means things like how much area needs to be taped off, what the actual surface area of your space that needs to be painted is (because square footage of room doesn’t equal square footage of painted area!), and the color and condition of your walls.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We meet and I provide a free on site painting estimate. Once the customer approves our quote, a Five Star representative Salesperson or Production Manager gets in touch with the customer to schedule the work. We walk through and make sure we’re on the same page (e.g. colors, # of coats, and the daily schedule) and identify any issues ahead of time. We check our jobs daily and make ourselves available to our customers for any issues that may arise. At job completion, we walk around again with the customer to ensure that they are completely satisfied with the final product. At that time we request final payment. All unused paint will be left for the customer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Each five star painting pro is highly trained and skilled - we make sure the work is done professionally every time!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Everyone needs paint, but they don't always know where to turn, or who they can trust. We knew that we could provide the customer service that always seems to be lacking in the contracting world, as well as finding the most qualified painters to do the work. Since day 1, we have always focused on the pairing of quality work mixed with reliable customer service.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We have been painting a lot of Kitchen cabinets recently. They typically take 2-3 days and make one of biggest transformations possible in your home.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask for proof of licenses and insurance! The biggest mistakes we see (and often what we’re hired to fix) is customers go with the cheapest option - this often means the “professional” they hired is unlicensed and doesn’t have to pay for the typical fees of business owners like insurance. If you want the job done right - hire a pro!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think about color, brightness of the room, quality of the paint, and mood you’re looking for. When in doubt, ask our pros.
