Introduction

A few key factors that I bring to the table are my versatility, my creativity and my passion for producing. My experience and knowledge in the many arenas of art translates to less hiccups, less time and more success! We are an insurance backed company with 30 years experience in art/design and murals. All of our murals are either completely or 80% hand painted. Spray paint may be necessary to lay down blocking in certain areas. Varsity Walls has a $1,500 residential minimum and $2.5k outdoor minimum as a result. Seeing the clients idea become a reality, whether on canvas or a large scale mural, is one of the many perks of this job. I am proud to serve hundreds of private and corporate clients throughout Texas and beyond. Whether it is for murals or family portraits- if you hire me, you’ll see why my clients trust me to meet their creative needs with meticulous detail and unparalleled professionalism. I truly do look forward to working with and for you! All my work is guaranteed and we are insured for your peace of mind. We have over 20 years experience on the design side of this process but would also be thrilled to work with your own in house marketing to create the visual narrative that aligns with your companies values. It is generally considered good practice to confirm insurance, so that both parties are protected from unforeseen outcomes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Many clients have a rough idea of what they are looking for while others have particular project specifications. The first step is to reflect what service you are needing and your ideal creative outcome. I will then work with you to establish your deadline, budget and proposed final piece. Many commercial clients will often opt for additional mock sketches to further illustrate the many creative directions of a single piece, project or installation can embody. They may also already have their own graphic assets backing their in-house marketing ideas. Whatever your creative needs, we will work hard to stay true to your vision. Once we have thoroughly outlined your requests, and after a deposit of typically 30-50% of the proposed pricing, I will then outline all relevant deadlines, formulate the contract and execute your project once the scheduled day arrives. I am available day or night to field any additional questions you may have concerning your piece!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I often attend creative studies and workshops to further my technical abilities and broaden my list of services. I consistently strive for growth in my field so I can be the best possible artist I can be for myself and my clients. In addition to these workshops, I serve as a valued contibutor to a prominent collective and regularly attend live model poraiture sessions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My career in art was born of the desire to consistently create unique pieces of art for the local community, friends and family. Over the years I’m humlbled to say my clientele has gradually stretched throughout the nation. I’m so fortunate to do what I do for a living, and to have such great mentorship in client relationships and efficacy as a fine art freelancer, creating pieces of celebrities and FOR celebrities!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Murals are definitely my most prominent commission requests along with large format commercial painting branding and painted portraits. I’ve worked with many private buyers to extend their collection and produced hundreds of pieces of commissioned gifts. Commercially, I have worked with Heirloom, Kamel, AT&T, Fringe Sports, F1, The Texas Rangers and more, in a variety of mural and branding applications/activations. I’m also honored to meet the creative demands of leading corporations in live art, office art and mural project installations. My customers know that i am not the cheapest, but my work quality is top tier and I have the ability to create detailed and accurate large format pieces, where many might struggle.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A project that sticks out in my mind was an extensive body of work for the film “Legends of the Game” that chronicles the turbulent acquisition of the baseball team the Texas Rangers. I was commissioned to produce 150 portrait studies within the very tight deadline of two months, all the while juggling the commissions of local buyers. I worked day and night to ensure all deadlines were met and that the pieces exceeded not only the films Creative Directors needs but that my private buyers were elated with the outcome of their pieces as well! It was a quarter that established a new level of production in my artistic career.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be selective and thorough when researching your artist! Good art is worth wading through the photos and asking questions. I encourage all my prospective clients to ask me anything they might feel confused or need guidance on.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What are the determined prerequisites of your project? Do you have a size in mind? I can execute pieces both small and quite large so no project is outside of my skill set. Do you have a proposed budget and what medium would you like your piece to be created in. Is this a private or corporate application? What is your deadline?
