Introduction

I'm a Madison based muralist and painter with murals throughout the midwest including Chicago, Nashville, Indianapolis, and Madison. Around Madison I'm mostly known for the artwork at all nine of the Grace Coffee Company locations. All of my murals are free handed which means no tracing, grids, or projectors except for the occasional logo or text. This really gives my work a true artistic hand done feel. I specialize in florals and abstract line work though all of my work is completely custom to what you are looking for.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

All of my murals are priced on a case by case basis. I typically price by square footage. Prices are determined mostly by scale and amount of detail i.e. a wall full of portraits would cost more than a wall filled with abstract design or pattern. My main priority is to work within your budget, art should be accessible to anyone that wants it.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After getting information on size and timeline, I work with the customer to create their vision whether they have an idea in mind or not. I am more than happy to send sketches of multiple designs, colors, text, etc and digital renderings if applicable. Or simply show me a photo of what you want and I will recreate it. I keep the client up to date during the painting process, making sure they like the direction it's headed. I offer free touch ups for every mural.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Commercial businesses including retail shop, restaurants, offices, yoga and dance studios. Multiple school corporations and hospitals. Many residential sites and family homes

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently I finished the side of a cement block garage taking it from a dirty cream to vibrant flower filled mural. Working in the hot summer months this project took me a little over a month. Most all of my work has taken a month or less to complete. Extremely large exterior works have taken around 3 months, my time extending due to HOT or rainy days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look at recent work and ask about their process. See if they can work to customize your mural exactly how you want, if they will go over details you didn't even think of like specific colors, fonts, patterns.
