What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have found that we are very close to median with the number of cheaper estimates equal to the number of more expensive estimates but there are very few companies that can meet or exceed our reputation and you will be 100% assured of getting exactly what you want.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We start with a brief phone conversation followed by a short site visit and finally a written estimate is provided by email. If accepted we schedule the project. Depending on whether or not we are providing materials we may ask for a down payment.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My education consists of an engineering degree in geo-engineering and I've been involved in home remodeling projects for over 20 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

At first it began working for family and friends and eventually we started marketing our services to the general public.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We've worked with home owners, builders, developers, architects and property managers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We remodeled a 1905 home that increased the livable space by at least 750 SF. This included a huge, carpeted man cave with bathroom and finishing off the attic with drywall and plush carpeting.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My suggestion is to do the legwork to find out if they have a construction license. You can do this by going to the MN DLI website. Also, verify and confirm at least 10 previous customer satisfaction reviews.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Definitive pricing that won't be exceeded, schedule, previous satisfied customers and best communication practices.
