Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I do not have a standard pricing, it's all contingent on what the client is looking for.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My typical process for working with a new customer is to get to know them. I like to meet people before we get down to hard business. It makes it so I come to them from a level of friendship so they understand they can ask me for anything. It helps to set a comfort zone that works well for people. From there, we get down to business and create an event that rocks!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have worked for many years catering to people of all walks. It helps me to relate to people when I worked with so many different types. When I teach cooking, I realize everyone learns differently and I can't just assume everyone is on the same level of experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been cooking and teaching all my life, it just came to me a few years ago to put the two together. During culinary school is when I realized that it was the perfect combination for me.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with Physicians, Mommy's, The Elderly, Children, Nervous People, Excited People, Beginners, Experts and people looking to have fun.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am currently the Event Coordinator for The Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmology. We have quarterly meetings with hundreds of physicians....planning the events at world famous venues and matching the food, wine and decor is so rewarding when the evening comes together...it's a true adrenalin rush.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would tell people to get to know who they're working with. People are always on their best behavior during brief meetings but you get to see what they're really like under stress. Be sure you feel a good vibe and ask LOTS of questions.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Be sure to at least have a vision of what you think would work, let the experts do the rest of filling in the blanks.
