Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
All pricing is transparent and customized based on the number of guests, menu complexity, and service style (plated, buffet, or family-style). My rates typically include menu planning, grocery sourcing, travel, setup, and cleanup. I occasionally offer off-peak weekday discounts or curated seasonal menus at flat rates.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First, I’ll learn about your vision — the occasion, dietary preferences, and overall vibe. From there, I curate a custom menu and walk you through the experience. Once finalized, I handle everything: shopping, prepping, cooking, and cleaning — so you can focus on enjoying the meal and your guests.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I trained at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), one of the world’s premier culinary schools. I’ve also worked globally in high-end kitchens including Michelin ranked and starred and events, continuously evolving my technique and hospitality approach to deliver memorable, elevated dining experiences.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After years as a CMO for top consumer brands, I returned to my culinary roots. Food has always been my creative outlet and love language. I started cooking for intimate events, and it quickly evolved into a full-time, purpose-driven career where I get to combine creativity, hospitality, and storytelling on every plate.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with couples seeking private romantic dinners, corporate groups hosting retreats, families on vacation, wedding parties, professional athletes, and high-net-worth clients looking for discreet, luxury service. Whether it's a casual backyard dinner or a black-tie tasting, I tailor the experience to the occasion.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently curated a 6-course mountain-themed tasting menu for a family in Aspen celebrating a 50th birthday. We used Colorado-sourced ingredients, did a full wine pairing, and transformed their rental into a private restaurant. From planning to cleanup, it was a 6-hour experience that felt like magic — and the client has already rebooked.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for a chef who listens more than they talk — the best dining experiences are tailored, not templated. Also ask about cleanup (it matters!) and how they handle dietary preferences or restrictions with care and creativity.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Consider your ideal experience: Is it formal or relaxed? Do you want plated courses or family-style? What are your must-have dishes or dietary needs? And most importantly — how do you want the night to feel? That clarity helps us design a seamless and memorable event around your vision
