Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is per person not by the hour. Groceries are a separate charge. Which leaves you less stressed and confused. For larger events requiring additional assistants, a small fee will be applied per assistant to ensure seamless service.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My initial conversation with new clients is to gain an understanding of the cuisine they would like as well as the reason they are celebrating/ needing the services of a private chef, to help produce a better experience. I then create a menu with dietary restrictions in mind. We are not limited by a set of menus. This event is all about you as much as it is about my craft.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I attended Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, located in Boulder, Co. I also have several years in a high end country club, chain restaurants, and corporate dining.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Cliche, but my love of food began from infancy. Watching my grandmother prepare meals for my siblings and the joy she had when the meal was complete and the look of love on our faces from the deliciously prepared meals. It's in my DNA to cook good food and make people happy through my love language- food.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have had the pleasure to work with everyday hard-working people to high profile professional athletes, entertainers, and CEO's.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I feel as though I have a connection with every client I meet. We get to know each other in a short time span and usually communicate well after the event.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
1. Saves You Time- with a personal chef there is no travel time, no waiting for a table, no expensive drinks, no feelings of being rushed. YOU set the atmosphere. 2. It’s all about convenience. – No need to stress. You don’t have to lift a finger. A personal chef arrives with the ingredients ready to be prepared. Everything is prepared at your venue of choice. No need to drive, just tuck the kids in bed and bask in concierge service. 3. No Clean Up- that’s right. I keep the kitchen tidy as the courses go out, and in the end, the kitchen is often left cleaner than when we arrived.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Have you hosted parties before and wasn't able to enjoy time with your family and friends? How invaluable would it be for you to focus solely on your loved ones during a family gathering or date night?
