What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We keep our prices fair and transparent. For catering and large orders, pricing depends on the guest count, custom menu, and delivery needs. We offer flexible payment options including Cash App, Apple Pay, and cash. We don’t charge surprise fees, and we occasionally offer bundle deals or seasonal discounts for return customers or large orders.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We usually start by asking what type of request they have — catering, private events, or custom plates. From there, we discuss their meal preferences, quantity, delivery/pickup needs, and any special notes. Once everything is confirmed, we prep fresh and deliver exactly what they need — always with top-tier communication along the way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I don’t have formal culinary schooling, I have years of hands-on experience cooking for large groups, running our business, and developing recipes passed down through generations. Every meal we serve is backed by real kitchen hours, customer feedback, and heart.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up learning to cook from my mom, who passed down her love for food and feeding others. What started as home cooking turned into a passion my husband and I now share. We built Souls Of Love Kitchen LLC to bring that same love, warmth, and flavor into our community — one plate at a time.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We’ve worked with a wide range of amazing customers — from families placing pre-orders for dinner, to private clients booking us for birthdays, baby showers, repasts, and pop-up events. Whether it’s 10 plates or 100, we treat every customer with love, respect, and delicious food.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of our recent highlights was a private plate sale we hosted for my birthday featuring fried fish, mac & cheese, southern potato salad, and sweet peas. Despite power outages leading up to the event, we sold out and received amazing feedback. The entire process, from prep to delivery, took about two days — and it reminded us why we love serving soulful, Southern comfort food from the heart.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who cooks with passion, not just skill. Read reviews, ask about ingredients, and make sure they’re flexible with your needs — whether it’s private events, catering, or custom orders. Food should be made with care and love, not just for profit.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Think about your ideal menu, the number of people being served, your budget, and whether you need pickup, delivery, or full-service catering. The more details you have upfront, the better we can make your vision come to life — stress-free.
