I am Chef Marie Maglio, owner of Proper Palate. We are a true Farm to Table, biodynamic farming supporting business. I look forward to working with you. I am an Organic/Gluten Free/ allergen free private chef who specializes in providing meals to those who want quality dishes. We source from local farms for produce, meats and dairy. Each time we are selected for a job we ensure to provide not only the best service and quality but take the pressure off our clients, especially for those special occasions. We have an awesome team of servers, bartenders and staff with over 30 years experience in the food industry. We do not cook vegan using processed or soy based products. We have a minimum of 6 or more people for Saturday parties. *We are not able to issue refunds on deposits due to scheduling conflicts or Covid/sickness related cancellations. We will do our best to reschedule for a day that works for both parties. Prices will fluctuate with market prices*

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have over 30 years experience in the food industry along all of our Chef's have culinary degrees.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My mom was an amazing cook and chef. I learned from a very young age how to appreciate food and how to cook. My own health struggles led me to find my passion of farm to table sustainable cooking. Providing organically grown and raised food is everything to me.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Our clients are health conscious, those with allergies or food sensitivities. Folks looking for someone who be attentive and provide outstanding service. We also have those who love to be treated to the best quality products and pampered. Our clients are the best!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently did an outdoor graduation party. My team and I were able to take the pressure off the mom who was hosting the party. We came in took care of all the equipment rental, worked directly with a local liquor store to have items delivered and have them keep being delivered throughout the day if we ran low. The day was beautiful! All of our staff wore masks to make the customers guests feel comfortable.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Quality is key! Clean organically sourced produce and meats are the best! Ask your professional where they source their products.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Get a good idea of what you are looking for. Have a guest total, or estimate. Be open to suggestions as professionals we do this on a daily basis.
