Introduction

Welcome. I'm Alex. I’m passionate about co-creating a luxurious fine dining experience with you so that we can make a special occasion memorable for years to come! Anniversaries, birthdays, business meetings, and special occasions are guaranteed to be elegant, effortless and enjoyable. You'll spend precious time with the most important people in your life, and I'll take care of the menu creation, shopping, cooking and all cleaning. I graduated from the Pittsburgh Le Cordon Bleu school of culinary arts and have nearly 20 years of culinary experience ranging from trendy casual to fine dining. I like chatting on the phone with people whether your booking an event or not so let's talk! Cheers! PLEASE NOTE: FOR DINNERS THAT HAVE 3 OR LESS PEOPLE I CHARGE A $375.00 MINIMUM JUST FOR THE SERVICE. GROCERIES ARE BILLED SEPARATELY. (simply because each dinner takes 3 days in total for me to execute. 1st day is for shopping, 2nd day is for prep, and the 3rd day is the actual dinner.) Thank you for your understanding in this regard. 🙏

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Each event is unique and depending on the guest count, type of service, dietary restrictions and other variables the price can vary. I usually quote on a per person basis when there is 5 or more people. I charge a $375.00 minimum for 4 or less people. Also the cost of groceries is calculated and billed separately from the per person price. Contact me and I'd love to talk to you further about your event's pricing!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to start out by finding out exactly what your needs are. Are you celebrating a birthday or anniversary? How can I be of service to make the event go as perfect as possible? Maybe its a casual meal served family style. Perhaps it's more of an elegant multi course fine dining type of evening complete with matching wines. Whatever it may be, I guarantee together we can make a special occasion memorable for years to come!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a Pittsburgh Le Cordon Bleu graduate with over 15 years of industry experience ranging from trendy casual, catering, to fine dining and beyond.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I began working as a waiter in my local restaurant and quickly transitioned into the kitchen as I liked working with my hands and being creative. I never looked back and worked my way up over the years from dishwasher to head chef, to now my own personal chef business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people over the years. While working in fine dining in Pittsburgh I got to cook for actors like Jude Law, John Leguizamo, Scarlett Johansson, and Pittsburgh Steelers Pro athlete Troy Polamalu just to name a few. Troy was particularly fond of calamari lol.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently I helped a very talented event planner organize a dinner that was a recreation of the first class Titanic dinner. She hosted the dinner at her house and it took her several weeks of planning. I spent about a week logistically planning the dinner then a full day of preparing the ingredients. The day of the dinner was also busy for me from morning until about midnight. The event was amazing and everyone had a blast! I was so honored to be trusted with such an undertaking.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would recommend jumping on the phone with whoever it is your are looking to hire and ask a lot of questions. It should help you get to where you want to go 100x faster than e-mail or text messaging. I love talking with people about food even if I am not a good fit for their event!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What are their specific needs? Do you need someone to cook a fine dining four course meal? Do you need a more casual family style dinner? How many people will be attending? When is the event? How will the groceries be obtained and paid for? Or maybe you need a weeks worth of meals prepared and neatly stored in your fridge or freezer so you can spend more time in the office as opposed to in your kitchen. I can help with all these questions and more!!!
