Introduction

Chef Sunny is available for private in-home omakase services on Tuesdays and Thursdays regularly. The rest of our time is spent focusing on our takeout/delivery sushi restaurant, Kaisen HTX. Our focus is on quality ingredients and respecting the origins of our cuisine, coupled with beauty. We only provide food that is made 100% from scratch from our team. We’ve spent our lifetimes focusing on four areas of cuisine: Korean, Japanese, American, and Italian. However, we now focus solely on traditional Japanese sushi. When we cook, our goal is to provide food that is of the highest quality and tastes not only like it should be served in a high-end restaurant, but also has the distinct yet indescribable notes of being made with the care of a home cook. What types of customers have you worked with?

I currently work with one of the most prestigious and largest law firms in Houston, Vinson & Elkins, serving all of their needs from cocktail parties to full service dinner events. My team and I also service many private party dinners and luncheons, most frequently via my oft-changing Omakase service. Our service schedule also covers many weddings and catered events for the Houston area, including at companies like Memorial Herman, Houston Methodist, Johnson & Johnson, and more!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One of my biggest passions is providing private omakase dinner services for clients. My clients trust me to provide excellent cuisine, and I find nothing more rewarding than when our clients trust my kitchen to trust the chef with their food.
