Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is based on a low budget event. I’m here to make some money doing what I love, while keeping your catering at an affordable cost. This pricing would be for food cost, and labor of the staff involved.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to talk with the client to see their vision for the meal and what they’re actual budget is they are willing to spend. Based on that I love creating custom menus that work well in the budget and the event host is proud to serve to their guests.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I'm always trying new things in my kitchen at home cooking for friends and family. I watch a lot of cooking shows, subscribe to cooking magazines, and try all the new hot foodie spots in the city to stay on point.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I knew coming out of undergraduate that Culinary is where my heart was. It took a few years to surrender to that idea after graduating, but it was the best decision I have ever made.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have catered weddings up to 150 people, private weddings of 20, holiday parties of 50 guests with small bites, Bartending private events, and meal prepping healthy meals for individuals striving to reach a goal.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I catered a viewing event for an art gallery in Minneapolis MN. The space did not have a kitchen to work out of so I was given limited space, but the event was beautiful and the guests loved the food! It took me about 3 days to plan, prep, and execute the event with around 70 guests.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Pricing is everything in this industry. I strive to provide mouthwatering food for an affordable cost that is beneficial to both parties. Catering can be very expensive depending on where you search, and sometimes the heart just isn’t there with the food.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What their vision is for the meal they want to serve, if they need extra event help to take the stress off them and let them be the host, what they’re actually willing to spend for the service they need, and if they can do a tasting for some of the food they might serve.
