Introduction

I have been representing individuals injured by the negligence of others since 2006. In that time, I have handled claims of all sizes from minor injuries to catastrophic injury and wrongful death. I have handled cases at all stages, including negotiation, litigation, and trial. My goal is always to provide personal service and achieve the best result possible for my clients.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Most attorneys charge an hourly rate and require their clients to pay any hard costs associated with their case (such as copy charges, postage, filing fees, expert witness fees, etc.). This can be a substantial barrier to hiring an attorney for most people. Instead of billing hourly, I charge a percentage of the overall recovery. Instead of charging costs, I advance those costs so there is no up-front retainer required. My fees are contingent, which means I don't get paid unless I am successful in recovering for my client. This gives me an incentive to be aggressive in a case to recover as much money as quickly as possible, without requiring a client to pay money up front. I have found that this relationship is ideal for clients who are likely suffering lost income due to their injuries.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
In order to properly assess your claim, we'll begin with a telephone call to gather some facts about your case. All initial consultations are free of charge and carry no obligation. During that consultation, you are welcome to ask any questions you may have about your rights and potential recovery.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been representing injured claimants since 2006. In that time, I have handled thousands of claims and recovered millions of dollars on behalf of my clients. I have represented clients in all aspects of personal injury claims, including through trial.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I first began working in personal injury law during law school after my wife was involved in a motor vehicle collision. We retained a personal injury attorney who later hired me as his law clerk. What started out as a summer job has turned into a long and rewarding career. Since that time, I have devoted my career to representing people who have been injured due to the negligence of another. Without an attorney, injured people tend to be pushed around by insurance companies. I enjoy what I do because I don't like bullies and I take pride in advocating for the "little guy" against these large companies.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with clients in many different types of cases, including motor vehicle collisions, motorcycle crashes, trucking accidents, slip/trip and fall claims, dog bite claims, bike or pedestrian collisions, product liability claims, burn injuries, and insurance bad faith claims. An accident that causes injury can very disruptive to your lifestyle. My clients are people who have been injured due to the carelessness of another, and are seeking fair compensation for their medical bills, lost income due to time off work, and pain and suffering.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recent Case Results: -Motor Vehicle Collision: $230,000 recovery -Motor Vehicle Collision: $325,000 recovery -Tire Failure Claim: Confidential Amount -Car v. Pedestrian Collision: $1,000,000 Judgment I am often asked how long a case will take. The length of a case is dependent on many factors, including how the loss arose, the nature and extent of the injuries, the nature of the medical treatment, and the prognosis once treatment is done. To discuss how these factors may affect your particular case, call today for a free consultation.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Most insurance companies devote millions of dollars every year to defending against personal injury claims. These companies will hire large law firms and expensive expert witnesses with the goal of preventing injured victims from receiving fair compensation. Any individual looking for a personal injury attorney should look for an attorney that has the resources to level the playing field. Many attorneys avoid investing either time or money in their cases to enhance their own bottom line. I believe in investing the time and money into a case necessary to build value so that the client's recovery is as favorable as possible. Also, an injured claimant should look for an attorney with trial experience. Insurance companies pay more on claims with attorneys who are not afraid to go to court. My firm regularly takes cases to trial, and we are taken more seriously because of that fact.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Potential clients should discuss with an attorney the role of the attorney in the case. Many attorneys will require their clients to gather evidence in preparing their claim - such as a police report, medical records, damage estimates, lost wage verification, etc. My practice is a full service personal injury practice. We believe that the client should focus on getting better and obtaining treatment, while the lawyer should take care of everything else. We have the resources to devote to your case so that you can focus on healing and returning to living your life the way you did prior to your injury. Injured claimants should also discuss with attorneys expectations regarding client contact. Many attorneys are lax about communicating with their clients and providing updates on their cases. We believe in a VERY high standard of customer service, and keeping clients informed about the status of their case.
