What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Contingency: we are paid a percentage of what we recover for you. The fee ranges from 33 1/3 percent to 40 percent, depending on the type and complexity of the case, whether a lawsuit has to be filed, and when and if your case goes to trial. We will front all litigation costs. You are not responsible for the litigation costs or our fees until and unless you are paid.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

A typical process starts with an initial phone consultation. It follows by an in-person interview, if needed. If both sides agree that our firm should represent you, a contract will be signed. We will then gather evidence and fight for your case until you are satisfied with the result.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I used to work on the other side, hired by insurance companies to defend big corporations in multi-million dollar personal injury cases. I won every trial and decided to switch side to use my skills to fight for the little guy. So I started my own firm and never look back.

What types of customers have you worked with?

People who have suffered catastrophic injuries. I have represented immigrants who cannot speak English, people who are homeless, special needs children, students, union workers, nurses, engineers, architects, doctors, small business owners, real estate agents, and elderly retirees.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Motorcycle Crash Santa Clara County Superior Court-- $5,450,000 Awarded Clients were riding a moped and hit by a police car at an intersection. Clients have on-going back pain. Pedestrian Hit at Crosswalk Santa Clara County Superior Court-- $2,500,000 Policy Limit Award Against State Farm 63-year-old client was hit by a car at a crosswalk. She suffers from traumatic brain injury ("TBI"), complete loss of sense of smell, facial droop, memory loss and back pain. Passenger in Car Crash San Francisco Superior Court-- $500,000 Policy Limit Award against AAA 66-year-old passenger was injured when the driver lost control of the car and hit a fire hydrant and a garage door. Client broke his ribs and spine and has Post-traumatic Stress Disorder ("PTSD"). Neighbor Dispute San Mateo Superior Court-- $439,800 Judgment Hired on the day of trial, tried the case against the president/CEO of a major company who had attorneys for 3 years already. Rear-Ender Car Crash San Francisco Superior Court-- $100,000 Policy Limit Award against GEICO 60-year-old client was rear ended. Although the damage to the car is only $600, client broke his upper back and has constant back pain. Rear-Ender Car Crash Pre-Lawsuit Settlement-- $100,000 Policy Limit Award against Farmers Insurance 34-year-old software engineer was rear ended. She suffers from traumatic brain injury ("TBI") from hitting her head on the airbag. Improper Lane Change Car Crash Contra Costa Superior Court -- $100,000 Policy Limit Award against GEICO 34-year-old client was hit by another car that made an improper lane change. Client had a meniscus tear in his knee that required surgery, two bulging discs in his neck and mid-back, and was on disability for five months.
