Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Consultations are free. All personal injury cases are handled on a contingency fee basis. There is no fee unless you win.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with a free consultation. Telephone calls are fine, but we prefer to meet you in person at the office. A winning strategy is formulated for the client and their imminent needs (car repair, hospital bills, medicals) are addressed. It is important for the client to meet our support staff and learn from past examples of successfully managed cases. However, we cater to the client. Most importantly, you meet with _me_ in person during your first visit -- not an assistant, investigator, or paralegal. If an investigator begins your case instead of an attorney, you are at the wrong law firm.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
University of Miami School of Law (JD). Marquette University (BA). State Attorney's Office: 1998. Public Defender's Office: 2000-2003. Insurance Company Defense Attorney: 2003-2009 Private Practice: 2009 to present.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started at the prosecutor’s office in Fort Lauderdale where I tried my first 5 trials. I continued trial practice at the Broward Public Defender's office working on felony cases for the next three years. After finishing that commitment, I worked for insurance defense firms gaining additional insider information and trial experience. I am now celebrating my 25th year of law practice. I like to try cases. A car accident trial that I tried just recently received a verdict of $1.6 million dollars.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Personal Injury clients, wrongful death clients, homeowners insurance clients, and employment/discrimination claims.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
My most recent car accident trial in Orlando. I won a $1.6 million dollar verdict for my client. It was a difficult five-day jury trial with multiple expert witnesses.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
There are many gifted attorneys in our area, but not all have trial experience. When you are dealing with insurance adjusters, everything counts.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Personal injury cases vary based on severity of the injury and treatments involved. Evidence needs to be preserved ASAP for later use. There are many keys to establishing a compelling injury case, and we are happy to share them with you.
