Introduction

At the Kansas City law firm of Foster Wallace, LLC, we fight for clients who have been wronged or injured at the hands of a negligent driver, a doctor or hospital, correctional officer, business, or other third party. Attorneys Michael Foster and Brian Wallace provide tenacious representation to injury clients, giving them the answers and advice they need in one of the most challenging times of their lives. As experienced accident attorneys, we know that many victims don’t have the funds to pay for legal expenses. We remove this obstacle from our clients by taking injury cases on a contingency fee basis, only collecting payment from clients if we have secured compensation for their losses. Michael and Brian are both former shareholders (or partners) at one of the biggest law firms in the country.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We work on a contingent basis - meaning we don't get paid unless you win. We take a portion of the settlement at the end of the case. If we don't win the case, you don't pay us.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We meet and go over their case and learn all details we need to proceed and immediately put the other side on notice that our client is now represented.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We both graduated with honors from law school here in Kansas City at UMKC near the very top of our class. We then both worked at one of the largest law firms in the country where we progressed and became a shareholder (or partner). We then decided to work for individuals rather than big businesses and start our own firm in late 2018.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Out of law school we began working for a large law firm.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All kinds of different customers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently settled an injury victim's case for over 1.4 million dollars. Our client could not find a lawyer to take his case and filed a lawsuit by himself in federal court. The United States District Judge told him to talk to us as we may be able to assist him. We discovered evidence that others missed and now he's set financially for the rest of his life.
